


Bandung, August 19, 2025 – The Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Padjadjaran (FKep Unpad), organized its inaugural public lecture to welcome the 2025/2026 Academic Year and commemorate the 31st Anniversary of the Faculty of Nursing Unpad.
The event carried the theme “Transformation of Health Human Resources in Sustainable Development Towards Indonesia Golden Era 2045,” featuring Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha, SE., MA., PhD, Secretary General of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, as the keynote speaker.
The event was officially opened with remarks from Prof. Kusman Ibrahim, S.Kp., MNS., PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Unpad.
In his speech, Prof. Kusman emphasized the significant opportunities available to nursing professionals in health development at both national and global levels. “It is a remarkable opportunity for us to receive a lecture from the Secretary General. Nurses, who comprise over 30 percent of the health workforce, when well-managed and equipped with adequate competencies, can play an optimal role in delivering the best health services to the community. The Faculty of Nursing Unpad is committed to providing transformative education through an interprofessional education (IPE) approach within the health cluster,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha, SE., MA., PhD, underlined that health is the fundamental foundation for achieving Indonesia’s Golden Era. “To become a high-income country, the Indonesian population must be healthy. Health is a primary concern in building Indonesia Golden Era 2045. Through six pillars of health transformation, the government strives to ensure equitable, quality, and sustainable services. Synergy among all health professionals, especially nurses, is required to realize Indonesia Golden Era 2045,” he explained.
This public lecture aligns with the global commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education. The transformation of health human resources to be adaptive, innovative, and professional is expected to support the achievement of a healthy society, improved quality of health education, and strengthened sustainable health systems in Indonesia.
The event was moderated by Titis Kurniawan, S.Kep., Ners., PhD, and was attended both offline at the Suharyati Hall, Faculty of Nursing Unpad, and online via the Zoom platform by academics and participants from various regions in Indonesia.
Through this activity, the Faculty of Nursing Unpad reaffirms its contribution to producing superior health professionals, strengthening cross-professional collaboration, and supporting the national agenda toward a healthy and productive society for Indonesia Golden Era 2045.
