
A scoping review by Universitas Padjadjaran led by Fania Putri Alya, explored 12 studies and revealed that factors like age, age at diagnosis, psychological functioning, and social support, including school status and parent–child relationships, significantly impact the psychological well-being of children with cancer.
These children are at high risk of anxiety, depression, stress, and low self-esteem. But understanding the factors helps healthcare providers offer more targeted support and mental health interventions. This research supports SDG 3: ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all.
