
Bandung, July 31, 2025 – Padjadjaran Nursing Corps (PNC) Faculty of Nursing, Padjadjaran University (FKep Unpad) has held a Company Visit activity with the theme 'Behind the Sirens: An In-Depth Exploration of Emergency Response Operations' with the aim of the Integrated Safety Service Center UPTD Public Safety Center (PSC) 119 Bandung City office. This activity aims to broaden the insight of PNC members regarding medical emergency management, introduce work procedures applied in handling emergency cases, and increase awareness of the importance of preparedness in facing situations that require immediate medical assistance. The activity was held at the Public Safety Center (PSC) 119 Bandung City office located in Cipaganti District. The Company Visit was attended by all PNC members and the Supervisor Mrs. Ristina Mirwanti, S.Kep., Ners, M.Kep. and warmly welcomed by Mr. Eka Anugrah, S.Kep., M.Tr.A.P as Acting Head of UPTD PPKT Dinkes Kota Bandung and his team. This activity is not just an ordinary visit, but a golden opportunity for PNC members to gain knowledge from professional and trained personnel as the front line of emergency handling. The series of Events began after the arrival of PNC members to the PSC 119 Bandung City office. The activity was opened with remarks from the PNC Supervisor and Head of UPTD PSC 119, Mr. Eka, who emphasized to utilize this opportunity as a learning medium for pre-hospital handling mechanisms. This supports one of the points of SDGs 3, namely Health and Well-Being or ensuring a healthy life and promoting well-being for all people at all ages. The next activity was a talk show with three speakers who have different roles in PSC, namely Mr. Bina Maulana as a Doctor, Mr. Sunandar as a Nurse, and Teh Ika Andriani as a PSC 119 Call Center Operator. In this activity, PNC members learned how the mechanisms and workflows in PSC in handling medical emergencies. In addition to the talk show with the speakers, PNC members had the opportunity to do a Company Tour to see the work space, emergency handling equipment and ambulances owned by PSC and did a simulation of emergency case report calls. Through the Company Visit activity, PNC FKep Unpad gained a more comprehensive understanding of the important role of emergency services in the health system. In addition, it is hoped that better communication and cooperative relationships can be established between PNC and PSC 119 Bandung City in supporting a more effective and efficient medical emergency system.
