Strengthening Community Health: Universitas Padjadjaran\u2019s Research on Health Cadres and Stunting Prevention<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n A new study led by Sukmawati, S.Sos., S.Kep., Ners., M.Kes. from Universitas Padjadjaran, together with a research team, explores on the pivotal role of health cadres in detecting and preventing stunting in children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through in-depth qualitative interviews with 15 health cadres across West Java, the study identified four major themes: the daily challenges faced in early detection, the importance of effective communication with families, the need for enhanced knowledge and skills, and the central role of cadres in community-based prevention. These insights emphasize that empowering and training cadres is not only crucial for early awareness but also for fostering family and community engagement in combating childhood stunting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This research contributes directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, and SDG 4: Quality Education), highlighting the importance of community-based approaches in addressing child malnutrition. By equipping cadres with knowledge and communication skills, Indonesia can take stronger steps toward breaking the cycle of stunting and ensuring a healthier future generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
