Recognizing the vital role of schools in preparing youth, researchers Cecep Eli Kosasih, S.Kp.,MNS, Ph.D., Prof. Yanny Trisyani, SKp, MN., Ph.D., Tuti Pahria, S.Kp.,M.,Kes., Ph.D., Dr. Tetti Solehati, S.Kp.,M.Kep., from Universitas Padjadjaran, in collaboration with Praneed Songwathana from Prince of Songkla University, conducted a quantitative study to assess disaster preparedness among high school students in West Java.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The study involved 496 students from five high schools across Bandung City, Bandung Regency, West Bandung Regency, Cimahi City, and Sumedang Regency. Using a disaster preparedness questionnaire based on LIPI-UNESCO 2006 guidelines, the research found that while 62.3% of students were categorized as \u201cready,\u201d significant gaps remain, especially in disaster warnings and resource mobilization.
