Advancing Mental Health Recovery: Community-Based Interventions for Schizophrenia in Southeast Asia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Schizophrenia is a complex mental health condition that affects millions worldwide, and recovery involves more than just reducing symptoms; it requires fostering hope, empowerment, and social inclusion. Recent research led by Rohman Hikmat from the Faculty of Nursing at Universitas Padjadjaran, alongside collaborators from Malaysia and Thailand, explores community-based recovery interventions tailored to the Southeast Asian context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This scoping review identifies various innovative and culturally relevant interventions, including psychoeducation programs, self-management and empowerment training, forgiveness therapy, horticultural therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. These approaches have shown significant benefits in enhancing patients\u2019 coping skills, social functioning, and overall quality of life, addressing both clinical and psychosocial needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n By promoting accessible and holistic care models, this research aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3, which aims to ensure good health and well-being for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
