Enhancing Patient Self-Efficacy in Coronary Artery Disease Management: A Study from Universitas Padjadjaran\u2019s Faculty of Nursing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) remains a growing health challenge in Indonesia, demanding innovative approaches to support patient self-management. Aan Nur’aeni, S.Kep.,Ners.,M.Kep., from the Department of Critical Care and Emergency Nursing at Universitas Padjadjaran\u2019s Faculty of Nursing, led a significant study examining how patients\u2019 perceptions affect their self-efficacy in managing CAD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The study surveyed 102 adult CAD patients and used rigorous psychometric tools and Rasch analysis to reveal that patients\u2019 perceived severity of their illness and perceived barriers to care strongly influence their confidence in managing the disease. These findings highlight the importance of tailoring healthcare interventions, such as health education and personalized counseling, based on patient perceptions to improve outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This research not only contributes valuable knowledge to chronic disease management but also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on ensuring good health and well-being for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
