{"id":7928,"date":"2025-08-18T09:25:44","date_gmt":"2025-08-18T02:25:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fkep.unpad.ac.id\/?p=7928"},"modified":"2025-08-18T09:25:45","modified_gmt":"2025-08-18T02:25:45","slug":"the-effect-of-integrated-simulation-experiential-learning-disaster-nursing-for-enhancing-learning-outcomes-among-undergraduate-nursing-students-a-quasi-experimental-study","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fkep.unpad.ac.id\/en\/publikasi-dosen\/the-effect-of-integrated-simulation-experiential-learning-disaster-nursing-for-enhancing-learning-outcomes-among-undergraduate-nursing-students-a-quasi-experimental-study\/","title":{"rendered":"The Effect of Integrated Simulation Experiential Learning Disaster Nursing for Enhancing Learning Outcomes Among Undergraduate Nursing Students: A Quasi-Experimental Study"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Faculty of Nursing Universitas Padjadjaran Finds Simulation-Based Disaster Nursing Model Significantly Improves Student Preparedness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Integrated Simulation Experiential Learning &#8211; Disaster Nursing (ISEL-DN) model offers an innovative solution by combining advanced simulation technology with experiential learning, creating a highly immersive and interactive training environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A quasi-experimental study from the Faculty of Nursing Universitas Padjadjaran, led by Dr. Etika Emaliyawati,S.Kep.,Ners.,M.Kep., together with Kusman Ibrahim, S.Kp., MNS., Ph.D. and Prof. Yanny Trisyani, SKp, MN., Ph.D., and a collaborator from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand, involved 94 undergraduate nursing students divided into intervention and control groups. The intervention group received ISEL-DN-based training, while the control group continued with traditional learning methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The findings revealed that ISEL-DN participants experienced significant improvements in knowledge, attitude, satisfaction, and self-confidence, with knowledge and satisfaction showing the most notable increases. Compared to traditional learning, ISEL-DN not only strengthened theoretical understanding but also fostered greater engagement and preparedness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These results suggest that integrating simulation-based experiential learning into nursing education can play a pivotal role in producing highly competent and confident graduates ready to face real-world disaster situations.
